AUTHOR™ supports all the media formats you would expect of a multimedia tool.

Actions

In the Information section (or the Feedback tab of the Response Section) you may specify various Actions such as displaying rich text and graphics or playing video and audio. You may also pause the lesson, change the visibility of an object or change an existing object. Each of these Actions specifies an event in the Lesson.

Action Lists

Actions are selected from the Toolbar and placed in an Action list in the order you wish them to occur. The Information section of an Element contains an Action list.

 

Action Properties

Each Action has specific Properties. Common Properties are image, filename, text or caption, special effect, fonts and other text characteristics. Each different Action has its own dialog, which appears whenever you add an Action to an Action List or edit an existing Action. The dialog allows you to set the various Properties for the Action.
